Part 1

Daily Maintenance

Daily maintenance of an eyelet buttonholing machine involves two main tasks: lubrication and cleaning, both performed by the operator.

Cleaning and maintenance of an eyelet buttonholing machine should be performed before and after each shift. Wipe the machine surface clean and use a small brush to remove lint and debris from the hook and shuttle. Always turn off the power before cleaning.

Eyelet buttonholing machines are typically lubricated manually. Primary Maintenance

I. Disassemble and clean the machine's removable parts in order.

Generally, first remove the machine's surface cover, housing, presser foot, lower blade, upper blade, and needle, then disassemble the various mechanical components from the outside in. After removal, clean each part with kerosene and sort them separately.

II. Inspect all major components for wear and fit, repair or replace them, and assemble the machine.

Inspect parts prone to wear and frequent movement, such as shafts, bushings, pins, cam rollers, inserts, tooth forks, sliders, gears, cams, and hooks. Use a dial gauge or caliper for measurement, or visual inspection for some parts. Repair or replace any parts found to be excessively worn or deformed. Assembly should generally be performed in the reverse order of disassembly, and alignment should be adjusted according to the standard.

III. Lubrication and Test Run

After the machine has been adjusted and aligned according to the standard, lubricate all lubricated areas, wipe the working surfaces with a soft cloth, and then test run the machine.
