In the mid-19th century, a wristwatch was fitted with a strap and used on the wrist, and then gradually improved, reduced in size and style to become a watch. In 1911, Cartier officially commercialized this form of watch by launching the famous Santos watch. Since then, watches have been popular.
After a century of improvements, the Swiss made the first quartz clock into a quote watch in 1967, and the watch has since evolved from a manual/automatic winding form to one that uses quartz, electronic and other power to tell time and mixes simpler other functions.
